Archdiocese of Washington Tuition Assistance

The deadline to apply for 2009-2010 tuition assistance
has passed.

The Archdiocese of Washington works hard to keep Catholic education as affordable as possible. Part of this effort is the Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program, available to students applying to or currently enrolled in Catholic schools within the archdiocese (Washington, DC and Calvert, Charles, St. Mary’s, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland).

All tuition assistance obtained through the archdiocese is based on financial need. Families must apply each year to receive assistance and need must be demonstrated each year to qualify. Applying for tuition aid has no bearing on whether a student is admitted to a school.

Families applying for archdiocesan tuition assistance only need to complete one form for all children, whether elementary school students or high school students, even if seeking tuition aid for children in both schools.

Tuition Assistance Process for Students Enrolled in or Applying to Catholic Schools:

  • Mid-October 2009: Private School Aid Service Student Aid Form 2010-2011 available on-line and through any Catholic high school in the archdiocese.

  • December 4, 2009: Deadline for the completed Private School Aid Service Student Aid Form 2010-2011 to be postmarked and mailed to Private School Aid Service (PSAS). Included with the form must be a signed copy of the parent(s) or guardian(s) 2008 federal tax return(s) and a check or money order for a small fee payable to PSAS. Applications postmarked after the deadline date will not be processed by PSAS.

  • For more information about the Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program, please contact the Assistant Director for Funding Educational Resources at 301-853-5356.
