Archdiocese of Washington Tim Russert Memorial Fund
Tim Russert, NBC Washington Bureau Chief and moderator of Meet the Press, was a graduate of Catholic schools and a supporter of Catholic education throughout his life. Here in the Archdiocese of Washington, he established the Sr. Mary Lucille, RSM Outstanding Teacher Award in 1997, the highest honor bestowed on an outstanding high school and elementary school educator each year. The award comes with a $1,500 gift and is named in honor of a favorite teacher who challenged him and convinced him that he could make a difference in the world.
The Archdiocese of Washington Tim Russert Memorial Fund will assist low-income students in the archdiocese so they may attend Catholic schools and have the opportunity for a bright future. To contribute, send to Archdiocese of Washington Tim Russert Memorial Fund, PO Box 29260, Washington, DC 20017-0260.
