In general, Catholic schools follow the same cancellation/delayed opening procedures as the public school system for the jurisdiction in which they operate (District of Columbia, Calvert County, Charles County, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County or St. Mary’s County). Some schools, however, opt to follow the procedures of a neighboring jurisdiction (e.g. a school in Northwest Washington may opt to follow the procedures for Montgomery County Public Schools rather than those of the District of Columbia). Each school will notify parents of its policy at the start of the school year.
