The Archdiocese of Washington joyfully welcomes the planned Apostolic Journey of Pope Benedict XVI to the United States.

Below is the schedule for the Washington portion of Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the United States in April 2008. More information will be posted on this website as it becomes available.

Arrival

• Meeting at the White House

• Meeting with the bishops of the United States, Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

April 17

• Mass hosted by the Archdiocese of Washington, Nationals Park baseball stadium
(please note: the plan for ticket distribution has not been finalized; information will be published at www.adw.org/papalvisit when it is available, likely sometime in late January)

• Meeting with Catholic educators (presidents of Catholic colleges and universities and diocesan school superintendents), The Catholic University of America

• Gathering with interreligious leaders, Pope John Paul II Cultural Center
