Thank you for your interest in obtaining tickets to attend the upcoming Mass that our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, will celebrate in Washington, DC during his Apostolic Journey to the United States. We received more than 150,000 requests for 46,000 available spaces.
Tickets to the Mass have been distributed, primarily through parishes in the Archdiocese of Washington and through other dioceses.
Ticket holders:
Important! Please review this fact sheet (en español)
with information on transportation, including limited automobile parking at both RFK Stadium and a separate downtown parking lot with free shuttle service to Nationals Park for Mass ticket holders; schedules; and more. Any updated information will be posted here.
Please note: Tickets to the Mass are non-transferable and, as the property of the Archdiocese of Washington, may not be sold. Any sale, trade or transfer of these tickets is unlawful. Thank you.
Clergy: Tickets for those who registered for the Mass have been sent to each diocese. For those in ministry with the Archdiocese of Washington, the tickets are available for pick-up with parish/ministry allocations. Please note: each clergy ticket is individually assigned and is not transferable.
If you do not have a ticket to the Mass, but still wish to see the Holy Father:
At least two popemobile routes have been planned for the Holy Father's visit to Washington, DC, one following his visit to the White House on April 16 and one prior to his meeting with the United States bishops later that day. Details here.
Although it is highly unlikely that tickets may become available, you can submit your name for a waitlist. Should a ticket become available, you will be notified.
